Objectives
At the end of this module the student will be expected to: formulate a clear research question related to a practice based issue; undertake an in-depth literature review that informs the research and/or development in relation to a practice based issue; choose an appropriate methodology for undertaking research e.g. work based learning, empirical research ( qualitative or quantitative), secondary research; undertake the project/research; critically analyse the results; provide a critical and reflective account of the dissertation/practice based project.
Syllabus
Students will be allocated a supervisor with whom they will agree the dissertation/ practice based project, arrive at a plan of action and liase with throughout the project. They will be expected to submit draft work to their supervisor and attend individual tutorials. It is expected that students will actively participate in group tutorials.
